Practice Facilities

The renovation of the practice facilities in 2021 was the culmination of over 2 years of planning and work by the Greens Committee, our golf course Superintendent and our management team. The highlight of the renovation is the range tee with approximately 32,000 sq ft. The tee was stripped, graded and laser leveled and then sodded with certified platinum paspalum grass. A strip of synthetic turf was added to give the range tee relief during busy times. A three bay range cover was purchased to allow members to hit in the shade during the hot summer months. The range fairway was re-shaped and re-graded allowing for target greens flanked by bunkers for various shot lengths. The entire area was sprigged with celebration bermuda grass.

The area around the chipping green was enlarged and sodded to accommodate a wider variety of chips shots. The practice bunker was also enlarged and engineered with the latest technology. The same process was used on the practice bunker adjacent to the putting green. The members of Piper's Landing Yacht & Country Club would like to acknowledge that this golf training facility was made possible in 2021 by a generous donation from Dianne Weller's family to reflect her love of the game.
